  Welcome to the website of the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. The Alabama State Bar Family Law Section was formed in 1984 and is one of the largest and most active Sections of the Alabama State Bar. The Section distributes a quarterly newsletter to members, hosts an annual CLE conference at the beach each summer, and assists in the development and presentation of other CLE programs throughout the year. The Section monitors legislation and applellate court opinions that affect family law practitioners and keeps Section members apprised of significant legislative and caselaw changes. Membership is open to all members of the Alabama State Bar. Please feel free to send comments about the contents of this website to the Webmaster, including ideas and suggestions for additions to the site.
